Fun Time at New Members Orientation in Johor Bahru

Over the last two days, I went to the New Members Orientation (NMO) in Johor Bahru. This training was organized by Vemma Singapore to help new members to get started right in Vemma business. Although, I’m been with Vemma for a year, I still learn a lot of new information during the course of 2 days.

Day 1

Due to traffic congestion, we reached a bit late. After which, we are tasked to split up and form our team with team name and cheer. This is the fun part and our team name is Dynamic Team Power! KISS is what we learn in the training and we apply that to our team name too. We have others team names like, Orange Love, Diamond Power, etc. When we are about to go for lunch, we are tasked to go together with our team and walk out with our team cheer. Day 2

Day 2 is a fun and practical day with a lot of interaction. One of them is the blind man walking activity. This activity is to make one of the member in each team to get blindfolded and have them walk towards the Success Finishing Line. However during the process, they will be influence by negative force to guide them to the wrong direction as shown below.

So after the team member have been blindfolded, they have to wander around with people being tasked to be negative will influence them. Since the blindfold member can only listen to the people around them, they will take their instructions. Thus, some of the blindfolded member headed into the wrong direction.

Next, the leader come in to help them out – to push away the negative influence and help their member to the correct path.

As the leader comes in to help out the members, as show in the picture above, the blindfolded members listen to their instructions and one by one they finish at the Success Finishing Line.

This activity taught us one important lesson:

Listen to your leader or person who brought you into Vemma business. If you want success, go forth the way/path they had gone through. Do not fall under the prey of negative influence that will sabotage your success.

We also have some activities like emotions changing and sharing our personal experience to the fellow members. We get to know each of our fellow members more and have that bonding towards each others. This is perhaps the most important thing when we work together as a TEAM.

When the whole show is over, we get to take our group photo and I manage to snap a pic with our master trainer, Mr Johan. He is very experience and has brought important pointers across to us. I thank him for that.

Conclusion

Overall, this New Member Orientation (NMO) is more than a good event/training. It bring out the most important point when a new member join Vemma. For me, personally, I learn and unlearn a lot of things such as,

  • Using passion
  • Have a big heart to do this business, instead of looking for people
  • Working together as a TEAM
  • New members are fragile, treat them as your baby
  • There is no try
  • TEAM synergy
  • Working towards a common goal
  • Do not blame others when things go wrong
  • Change strategy if you are not producing results
  • Believe in yourself, your team leader and taking care of your team members
  • Encourage your team member “you can do better” and “i’ll support you.” (these 2 phrases are the MOST powerful)
  • Encourage your new team member to establish their inner WHY. This is the WHY that makes them cry, shiver or can’t sleep at night
  • Encourage your new team member to establish their roadmap to success to ensure they have a clear path ahead

With that, I can conclude that in Vemma business or in network marketing industry is to use your heart, passion and your WHY to influence others. Not, convincing, selling or pushing sales to them.
